These Terminal Tower souvenirs are charming examples of the romance of train travel, and relics of a desire to take with us a sweet reminder of where we have been.

I have not been able to find out much about the making and selling of souvenirs at the vast network of Union Stations that served the enormous American rail system during its heyday in the early and mid-20th century.
I do know that souvenir buildings are always a hit with tourists. And are manufactured still.

Although not strictly a Terminal Tower souvenir, meaning not sold by what I assume was a railroad souvenir shop that sold the many items I have collected, I'll include it here to show how the acquisition of one simple item can spark an entire collecting passion.
And if you were to ask me "Why the Terminal Tower?" -- I would say I really don't know. I am a Clevelander of a certain age, and I have fond memories of the Tower.
I also have a spot in my heart for mementos, keepsakes.
